Stewarts Plumbing and Heating Ltd have the ability to provide our clients and customers with a one-shop service providing engineers, electricians, builders, carpenters and plumbers to complete the job. We continue to invest in both computer and call centre technology to ensure that that our systems remain at the forefront of information technology. This investment has enabled the company to provide an emergency service, which is available 24hours a day, seven days a week.

What are benefits does the Gold Cover Service Cover Provide?
Stewarts Plumbing and Heating Ltd Gold Service Cover provides our customers with a 365 days of the year, 24 hours a day cover for their central heating system. The obvious benefit to our customers is that they have cost certainty and they are not liable to unexpected repairs costs.
Our customers also have the peace of mind that our team of maintenance staff is highly experienced, trained and technically equipped to diagnose and fix problems ‘first time’.
The Gold Service Cover includes an annual service and safety checks, all of our customers are notified one month prior to the anniversary date.
Arrangements are made at the customer’s earliest convenience to undertake the annual visit.
‘It is essential for the maximum lifespan of the system and to reduce the risk of breakdown that the system is annual serviced and gas safety checks are undertaken.’

What does the Gold Cover Scheme Contract cover?
- Central Heating System annual servicing and gas safety check(s)
- All parts and labour outlined below.
- Boiler parts.
- Primary flue and draught diverter.
- Radiators and Radiator valves.
- Room thermostat, hot water cylinder thermostats and frost thermostats.
- Time clock or programmer.
- Circulating pump and valves.
- Motorized valves.
- Feed and expansion cistern, and system pipes.
- Central heating copper pipe work and fittings.
What is not covered by my agreement?
- Heat exchangers over ten years’ old.
- Full replacement of the central heating boiler or any other gas appliance covered by the contract.
- Any faults that are due to the original design or installation of the system.
- The cost of any work(s) which is carried out without our company's approval.
- The cost of repairing any alterations to the system which have been carried out by a non employee of Stewarts Plumbing and Heating Ltd
- The cost of removing sludge, hard-water scale or adding a corrosion inhibitor to the system, including the cost of any associated work. (Signs that work is needed may include a noisy boiler, cold spots on your radiators, sludge in the pipe work or poor circulation)
- The removal of asbestos associated with any repairs to the heating appliance or system.
- The cost of repairing or replacing casings, decorative parts, paint work, enamel, batteries in programmers/gas fire ignitions or any damage which does not affect the way the system works.
- Resetting any of the controls of the central heating system.
- Any parts of the system (including flues, pipes, ducts and wiring) which are impossible or impractical to maintain because of the location of where they have been installed.
- The gas supply pipe from the meter to the boiler or gas appliance.
- Any secondary flue and flue terminal (any flue that is not part of the appliance).
- Oil boilers only – oil supply pipe work from the oil tank to the boiler if blocked or due to tank being empty/emptied causing boiler fault.
- All domestic water supply pipes, hot water cylinders, cold water tanks, taps, electrical immersion heaters, showers and their associated controls.
- Shower pumps, booster pumps and any energy management systems and associated equipment.
- Any loss or costs you incur due to the central heating system failure
- Any costs of rectifying faults caused by willful abuse or incorrect use of the system.
- Damage caused by fire, lightning, explosion, flood, storm, freezing weather conditions or changes to or failure of the gas, electricity or water supplies.
Please note-If in our opinion we feel the circumstances are such that it is impossible for us to continue with the coverage of a particular central heating system then we withhold the right to discuss potential withdrawal from the Gold Service Cover agreement.
What if spare parts are needed?
Stewarts have strong partnering agreements and excellent relationships with leading suppliers and manufacturers; we can therefore source any required part at a competitive rate and in short timescales.
At our main depot we hold large supplies of stock for market leading products including Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Ideal parts spares.
In all instances we endeavor to replace defective parts as quickly and effectively as possible, however in exceptional circumstances there may be delay in sourcing a particular part. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused due to the limited availability of the product or delays caused by our supply chain or manufacturers.
Landlord’s Certificate
Whilst in your property undertaking the Gold Cover central heating system service and safety checks we would be delighted to undertake a gas safety inspection and annual service for any further gas appliances (e.g. gas fire) you may have in your property. If all your appliances prove to pass all the relevant checks then we shall supply you with a gas safe certificate to confirm this.
We are able to apply a reduction to our normal servicing rates as our operative is already on site and therefore no travelling or fuel costs apply.
- Servicing Gas Fire-£29.99 plus vat
- Servicing Unvented Hot Water Cylinder- £29.99 plus vat
- Inspecting gas cooker-£14.99 plus vat
How do I pay and how will you work out the price?
The price is dependent on the age and condition of the Central Heating system and our range of prices starts from £135.00 + VAT. (The majority of our customers are at a rate of £135.00 plus vat)
We are happy to attend, assess the condition of your central heating system and supply with you with a free quote to take your central heating system onto our Gold Cover Scheme.
If you have a new central heating boiler installed by Stewarts Plumbing and Heating Ltd then you shall most likely receive an extended manufacturer’s warranty. We will then reduce the costs of your Gold Cover scheme to £79.99 plus vat for the duration of the manufacturer’s warranty.

Our service department is manned by experienced contract administration from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday on 0121 707 8118. The emergency number for out of hour’s calls is 07973561689 and the phone is at all times manned by an experienced technical supervisor who can advise you accordingly and make arrangements for the visit.
How do I arrange a Gold Cover Service Contract agreement?
We are more than happy to attend, assess the condition of your central heating system and supply with you with a free quote to incorporate your central heating system onto our Gold Cover Scheme
Approximately 28 days weeks before your agreement is due to terminate we shall send you a renewal letter giving you the opportunity to renew your cover. Your agreement will end automatically if you do not renew it.
What happens if my agreement is cancelled?
If you cancel your agreement with us for reasons outside our immediate control then we will not normally give you a refund.
If you are moving home and wish to transfer the Gold Cover Contract cover to your new home then please contact us and we will be pleased to make arrangements to transfer the cover agreement.
